Education

High school diploma/GED + 18 semester hrs board-approved surveying coursework (per TCA § 62-18-109); AS and BS paths also available

Experience

10 years with HS diploma; 6 years with AS; 2 years with BS

Examinations

• FS (Fundamentals of Surveying) — required by all states
• PS (Principles and Practice of Surveying) — required by all states
• State-specific: Tennessee State Jurisdictional Surveying Exam (TS)

Continuing Education

30 PDH per 2-year renewal cycle (includes ethics and Standards of Practice; max 15 online)
