8 years total (education + experience); 4 years experience with BS, 3 with graduate degree

  • FS (Fundamentals of Surveying) — required by all states
  • PS (Principles and Practice of Surveying) — required by all states
  • State-specific: Michigan Professional Surveying Examination (Part IIB)

Continuing Education

30 PDH per 2-year cycle (min 2 hrs ethics; max 12 hrs per 24-hr period)
