Education

BS degree required (4-year) — three options but all require baccalaureate (per KRS 322.045, board website)

Experience

3 years with board-approved surveying program; 4 years with other 4-year degree + surveying coursework

Examinations

  • FS (Fundamentals of Surveying) — required by all states
  • PS (Principles and Practice of Surveying) — required by all states
  • State-specific: FS and PS only; no additional state-specific exam.

Continuing Education

16 PDH per reporting period (includes 4 PDH Standards of Practice/Ethics every 4 years)
