8 years total; ABET education may offset up to 4 years; 80% passing on state law review

Examinations

  • FS (Fundamentals of Surveying) — required by all states
  • PS (Principles and Practice of Surveying) — required by all states
  • State-specific: Washington State-Specific Land Surveying Exam (Law Review, 80% passing required)

Continuing Education

30 PDH per 2-year renewal cycle
